PeopleSoft Insights (Kibana Analytics) and OpenSearch
PeopleSoft Insights (Formerly Kibana Analytics in PeopleTools 8.58 – 8.59) is a powerful analytics tool delivered within PeopleSoft and PeopleTools 8.60. This tool provides embedded analytics within the PeopleSoft application itself. It allows users to access preexisting search indexes to gain valuable insights without putting any additional load on the transactional database. The tool is integrated into the PeopleSoft user interface, making it easy to install, configure, and maintain.
This presentation will discuss leading practices for the rapid deployment of PeopleSoft Insights (Insights) and Open Search. We will outline the full solution life cycle through planning, installation, configuration, testing, and deployment. We will discuss what technical and functional resources are required to implement PeopleSoft Insights. We will discuss the related features and functionalities based on the specific modules being used and dive into real world use case scenarios like the deployment of Insights in PeopleSoft Financials Accounts Payable module operations and early detection and monitoring where users can monitor financial data, track transaction lifelines, and gain insights into invoice processing and purchase orders. Also, we will show how PeopleSoft HCM Insights provides analytics related to workforce management, including data on organization structure, employees, and applicants. We will discuss both the deployment of the delivered analytics and building custom visualizations in PeopleSoft Insights. We will show how authorized users can use tools like Kibana, which is integrated into the PeopleSoft user interface to create visualizations based on their specific requirements, selecting data sources, attributes, and fields to analyze.

Our new parent company requires a new Accounting Calendar, and to meet their 3-day close schedule. Vetsource previously operated on a 14-day closing schedule. We had to find a way to improve the system, aid the end users, supply our customers, and meet the parent company's requirements.
Vetsource re-implemented Oracle ERP Cloud improving the system, processes, and team. This allowed us to complete the financial period close on time, faster, more effectively, and with better data. This session will cover how we worked to be a more efficient Fusion Financials user at Period End, including what business processes and system changes we installed to meet our parent company's requirements.
